Prosecutor's Office in France informed on Thursday
about the arrest of another individual in an investigation
on arson of Limoges City Hall during Saturday riots.
The detained man is suspected of being "destructed by an organized group" in a manner that threatens people.
The 66-year-old was detained on Thursday morning with the participation of RAID peculiar Police Unit officers
and put in custody. At the same time, it was extended
the arrest of the first suspect. Mer Limoges Guillaume Guerin expressed the suspicion that the 33-year-old was the organizer of the attack.
The 19th-century town hall in Limoges was mostly destroyed during the 17 October riot. The fire of the historical building was 1 of the symbols of Saturday events, during which the attacks were aimed, among others, at state facilities. During the demonstration in Limoges, a group of persons acting in an organized manner entered the town hall, including through the basement. The attackers threatened to kill people in the building.
