W Marseilles in robberies during Saturday riots participated in the highest minute of 30,000 people - informed the police prefecture of the Delta Rodan department on Sunday. In this number, 8,000 were riot perpetrators.
The diary “Le Figaro” reported that more than 500 shops and buying points were destroyed and looted in the centre of Marseille. The Prefecture did not give circumstantial numbers.
Mer Benoit Payan asked the central authorities on Sunday to aid repair the harm after the Saturday riots. Payan besides said he looks forward to explaining the government's plan to keep public order.
Marseille is the second largest city in France. On Monday, the head of the MMA Laurent Nunez will be there. On Sunday, the Minister stated that respective 1000 people belonging to the utmost left had committed acts of force in Marseille, which were subsequently joined by "criminals looting and devastating many trading points".
On Saturday, demonstrations were held in France under the slogans of protest against rising costs of living, involving respective 100 1000 people. Manifestations were overshadowed by attacks on public buildings and acts of plunder that occurred in Paris, Marseille, Lyon and another cities.
