France will allocate gross from frozen Russian assets to the self-propelled haubic Caesar service that Paris donated to Kiev," said French abroad Minister Jean-Noël Barrot on Friday.

"We will shortly announce that France will be able, through its company (French-German defence company) KNDS, to guarantee the maintenance of Caesar's cannons that France has provided Ukraine," he said during a visit to Lviv, where the informal gathering of EU abroad ministers takes place. His words are quoted by France Presse.

In full Paris gave Kiev about 60 haubic Caesar. The Agency recalls that they are able to launch six rounds in little than a minute at a distance of up to 40 kilometres with advanced accuracy.
In June 2024 Volodymyr Zelenski signed a contract with the KNDS to establish a production branch in Ukraine. The company supplies Kiev in the whaubice of Caesar.
