The erstwhile head of the National safety Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, has become part of the recently created PreparEU advisory group, established by the European Commission. The squad is to support the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and Commissioner Hadja Lahbib on issues related to disaster preparedness and crisis management. The group includes 11 high-ranking experts from across Europe.
