First step towards agreement: US and Ukraine sign letter of intent

Washington and Kiev have signed a letter of intent on concluding an agreement on the exploitation of Ukrainian mineral deposits by the United States. The memorandum is intended to pave the way for the creation of an Investment Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.
