First money for a fresh U.S. Navy fighter jet [COMMENTARY]

The U.S. Navy requested just over $1.5 billion for fiscal year 2024. These funds would be invested in the fresh aircraft programme under the F/A-XX programme. It's the first money for this venture, or at least the first one, that has been requested by the authoritative disclosure of the amount.
