The Finns want civilian defense, not the army

This year, the evidence number of Finns applied for civilian defence training – according to OC data. Admission to the course relieves reservists of work to the army. In connection with Russia's aggression into Ukraine, more and more people resign from their service in reserve forces, writes the diary "Iltalehti". The wave of applications may besides be linked to the formal application process of Finland for NATO membership launched in May.
