In an interview with Russian state television, the Slovak Prime Minister expressed the view that the West is experiencing conflict fatigue and military support for Ukraine does not bring the expected results. In an interview, he besides referred to corruption in Ukraine, recognising this country as 1 of the “most corrupt in the world”. Fico pointed out that his policy towards Ukraine and Russia would focus on peaceful solutions and building "normal" relations with Russia.
