Holidays with WOT – put on a uniform and get military training

For the eighth time, the territorial defence troops invitation to participate in the training programme “Ferie of WOT”. This is an offer for adult students, students and teachers and all who want to usage the winter break for military training and starting an adventure with uniform. Volunteers from all over the country will learn, among another things, tactics, shooting and medicine in the battlefield.

Under the task ‘WOT Holidays” you can undergo 16-day primary or eight-day compensatory training. The first is simply a proposal for those who have not yet had any military training. On the another hand, compensatory training is an offer for people who already have military service and want to proceed training.

Training providers supply participants with accommodation, food, uniformation and full military equipment. They will be willing to train under the care of experienced instructors. During applicable and theoretical classes they will learn the principles of light infantry tactics, learn drills, service military equipment, as well as field of combat medicine and field studies.

A 16-day basic training course for volunteers to WOT will finish the final exam in the form of a alleged tactical loop. During its defeat, volunteers must, among another things, show shooting skills and know tactics. After the exam, the trainees will take the military oath and receive an assignment to the WOT Battalion, where they can proceed to service as territorial defence soldiers.

Training will be conducted in WOT brigades throughout the country from January to the first days of March. Their dates were adapted to the timetable of school holidays in individual voivodships, so that those willing to usage winter break in discipline to participate in classes.

For example, basic training in 6 The Mazovian Territorial Defence Brigade compensatory training is scheduled from 17 January to 1 February and starts on 25 January. In turn 11 The Malopolska Territorial Defence Brigade invites volunteers to basic training from 31 January to 15 February and to compensatory training in 2 stages: from 31 January to 1 February and from 10 to 15 February.
