A court in Chernivtsi, in southwestern Ukraine, sentenced a well-known chess player and erstwhile Ukrainian citizen Sergei Karyakin in absentia to 9 years in prison. According to the safety Service of Ukraine, for providing assistance to the Russian authorities.
