Polish Army on 15 August at 12 noon will show in Warsaw Wisłostrad modern land and air equipment, including Badgers, Abrams, K2, HIMARS, Patriots, F-35, F-16 and Apache helicopters. It's going to be a demonstration of the power of a state that matters more than an awesome parade.
Newest equipment in front of Poles
As shown by Communication from the Ministry of Defence, the military defilada will start on 15 August at 12 noon on the Warsaw Wisłostrad. The hotel announces the participation of respective 1000 soldiers of all types of armed forces and allies. On land, there are to be fighting Borsuk wagons, Rosomak transporters, Leopard, K2 and Abrams tanks, Krab cannonhaubice, Cancer mortars, Gladius drones and Poprad, HIMARS and Patriot systems.
In the sky the F-35 "Huszarz", Polish F-16 and Black Hawk helicopters, AW-149 and Apache were announced. Defence24 points out that the Polish Army Day refers to the 1920 triumph erstwhile the Polish counteroffensive pushed the Bolsheviks distant from Warsaw. It's a context that can't be covered with technology alone.
Defilada is simply a state account
Poles have the right to see what public money goes to and whether the army truly strengthens the ability to deter. The equipment presented on the parade is not an ornament. These are tools for defending borders, infrastructure, families and Polish sky.
In times of war beyond the east border, all national state must realize a simple thing: sovereignty ends where the ability to defend it ends. The parade can be a holiday, but it can't be a theatre. It must remind the rulers that the Polish army is to be built according to Polish strategy, Polish needs and Polish interest.
Sea, air and Wisłostrada
On the same day, the sea parade in the Gulf of Gdańsk is to start. MON announces more than 20 units of the Polish Navy and allied forces, including ships of different classes, hydrographic and rescue units and flight of sea aviation.
This is simply a good direction, insofar as the image is followed by permanent work: ammunition, training, production in Poland, reserves and the arms industry. The defilement will show the equipment. The question for power is whether in a year and in 5 years Poland will besides have greater defence independence.
