According to the Polish Press Agency, the Ministry of Defence plans to suspend training and training flights F-16. This is related to the tragic accident before AirSHOW in Radom, which occurred Thursday evening.
An F-16 aircraft crashed over Radom Airport during exercises before air shows. Behind the rudders sat the highly experienced pilot Maciej “Slab” Krakowian. The military died at the scene, and the shows along with the accompanying events were cancelled.
As stressed by Commander of the 2nd Tactical Aviation Wing, Brig. Gen. Norbert Chojnacki, the death of Major Maciej “Slab” Krakowian is simply a trauma for the aviation community. My condolences and condolences to the household come from all over the country.
The head of the MON Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish assured that the pilot's household had been decently cared for. At the same time, he asked to respect her privacy.
The circumstances of Thursday's accident during training are examined by the prosecution. Radom airport is closed.
