Exhumation works at the site of the no longer existing village of Puźniki in the west of Ukraine began at the end of April this year. The process involves families of the killed, who transmit material for genetic research.

– We confirm present that Ukraine issues a second licence for exploration in the territory of the village of Zboiska, which is now within the borders of Lviv, handed over to the Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine Andrij Najos.

He noted that "the remains of Polish citizens, soldiers who died in Lviv in 1939 and were buried in Zboiski will be sought".
