Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Bodnar said that in the spring there will be exhumations of victims from Volyn, but the period is not yet established. The action is mostly dependent on weather conditions.

– We do not know precisely in which month, but we are preparing that if the weather permits, all permits are issued and the Polish squad is besides prepared to start these activities," TVN24 said.
Vasily Bodnar added that work is underway to establish all another places where the exhumation of Polish victims would be carried out.

The Polish side already has specified a partner and this cooperation is developing with the Ukrainian institution – he informed. The Ukrainian organization partially participates in the financing exhumation works in the territory of Ukraine. “The local authorities and our IPN reported that they would fund these works, but mainly the financing is from the Polish side,” said the Ukrainian ambassador.

Ukraine then confirmed that ‘there are no obstacles to the conduct of Polish state institutions and private entities in cooperation with the competent Ukrainian institutions of exploration and exhumation work in the territory of Ukraine, in accordance with Ukrainian legislation’ and declared that it was ‘ready to deal positively with requests in these matters’.
