The art of negotiation is to initially leave your opponent and partner in ignorance and make demands that request to be discussed. You gotta bargain, argue, struggle.

Meanwhile, the fresh U.S. administration meets most Russian conditions in advance — and mostly leaves Ukraine on the ice. Of course, if you are so willing to fulfill your opponent's war goals, even the top fool can accomplish peace in a fewer days. But was that the purpose?
U.S. president Trump and Russian dictator Putin are in the process of negotiating an agreement to end the war in Ukraine — and Kiev is not even sitting at the table where negotiations are taking place. This will have consequences for Ukraine and the remainder of Europe.
For a long time the Germans tormented the nightmare of the coalition against them. Later this nightmare was called the “spirit of Potsdam”. The Allies reached an agreement above the heads of the Germans. Berlin would like this script never to happen again.
Now it is time for the Ukrainians to fear the like. The improvement of horror events. Washington and Moscow are in the process of negotiating an agreement — and Ukrainians are not sitting at the negotiating table.

"Invitation to proceed its drive west"
Europeans will now have their hands full with weapons — and not due to the fact that Donald Trump demands it. Europeans will gotta invest massively in their defences due to the fact that they fear that in the event of a war they will be left on the ice by Americans.

Anyway, Putin will see US President's concessions as regards Ukraine, as an invitation to proceed its drive to the west.
An outrage among allies
The US President's administration did not inform its EU allies in advance of Donald Trump's intention to have a telephone conversation with Russian president Vladimir Putin. Results of talks between the 2 leaders are seen by many in the European capitals as treason.
One of the European diplomats in an interview with the Euractiv portal called the change of US policy a "preemptive surrender" of Ukraine, while respective another diplomats admitted that they were "unpleasantly surprised" by Trump's move.
Immediately after reports of Trump's conversation with Putin, the abroad Ministers of Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and the EU issued a joint message stressing "Ukraine and Europe must be part of all negotiations".
— We look forward to discussing further action with our American allies, said the heads of the ministries.
— Our common goal should be to give Ukraine a strong position, added ministers. Head of European diplomacy Kaja Kallas said that "Europe must play a central function in all negotiations".
— The independency and territorial integrity of Ukraine are unconditional. Our precedence should now be to strengthen Ukraine and supply reliable safety guarantees,” said Kallas.
