In his speech in the EU, Sybiga stressed that the European Union must urgently supply Ukraine with weapons and increase force on Moscow to halt Vladimir Putin. "If he is not detained in Ukraine, he will decision the war deeper into Europe", the Minister warned. He pointed out that Russia was not seeking peace, but to proceed the war, as evidenced by the violent attacks on the Curved Horn and Suma.
Sybiga called on Europe to take decisive steps to strengthen Ukrainian and European capabilities, increase force on the aggressor and accelerate Ukraine's integration into the EU. The Minister urged European colleagues to increase military assistance to Ukraine, primarily by strengthening anti-aircraft support capabilities. He pointed out that Ukraine was working on developing its own strategical air defence strategy and suggested that European states invest in this programme to accelerate its implementation.

The force of sanctions on aggressor
Sybiga besides pointed out the request for a complete embargo on the acquisition of Russian energy resources by governments and private companies, sanctions against "shadow floats", full usage of frozen Russian assets to support the defence and reconstruction of Ukraine, further restrictions in the banking sector, metallurgy, atomic energy, IT and another industries.
In 2022, Russia spent over $100 billion on military activity, accounting for about 4% of its GDP. Ukraine spent about $6 billion on military activity that same year, accounting for about 2% of its GDP. This shows that Russia has far greater financial and military capabilities than Ukraine, which makes it essential to increase military assistance to Ukraine.
According to planet Bank data, Ukraine has received over $15 billion in aid from the EU and another donors since 2014. Despite this aid, Ukraine is inactive facing many challenges, including wars with Russia, which have caused crucial harm and economical losses.
Europe needs to realize that the war in Ukraine is not just a substance of 2 states, but of the safety and stableness of Europe as a whole. The EU should so increase its commitment to Ukraine and strengthen its own defence capabilities in order to be able to defy Russian aggression.
