Euronews president Pedro Vargas stressed the channel's commitment to promoting independent and impartial journalism. Euronews asked the participants of the event about their assessment of the beginning of Euronews Poland. “Of course this inauguration is crucial due to the fact that it enriches our information market, and freedom of speech and the ability to know different points of view is most crucial for freedom” – said erstwhile Polish ambassador to Finland, Jarosław Suchoples.
According to erstwhile Polish Ambassador to Germany Andrzej Byrt, “Eurnews is well known in Poland, at least to all those curious in global relations. Thanks to its competence and professionalism after the first year it will gain a very solid place among all global media".
The fresh Euronews office is located in the city centre, in the immediate vicinity of the Palace of Culture and discipline and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
