In the judgement of 23 September 2025 in Hora v United Kingdom (complaint No 1048/20) The European Court of Human Rights unanimously ruled that there was no infringement of Article 3 of Protocol No 1 to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (the right to free elections) against a individual who was in prison.
