Do not know in what variant the Mistral systems will be passed on to Ukraine by Estonia, since it had them in the second and 3rd generation versions. Their dedication to Kiev will be partially compensated by the acquired [last September](https://defence24.pl/industry/spires-leca-do-estonia-signed) for the indefinite sum of Polish production of 100 launch mechanisms and 300 PTZR Piorun missiles. Ukraine has long had anti-aircraft systems of the Mistral household in various varieties from, among others, France and Norway, so it is well known to Ukrainian airmen. The Estonian donation will contain both launchers and a supply of missiles to them, which will let to supplement any of the deficiencies. Due to the greater mass of the launcher and the projectile itself, they are fired not "on the arm" like Lightning or Stinger, but from a tripod placed on the ground or mobile platform like a field car.
