Estonia confirmed that it was considering participating in a French initiative called Forward Deterrence. Politically, this is understandable due to the fact that Tallinn has any of the closest defence relations in Europe with Paris and wants all additional safety against Russia. However, militarily Estonia is simply a completely different substance than Finland, Sweden or even Poland. Conversations are realistic and difficult. A deeper participation, including French strategical aircraft, is much harder to imagine, even from a Russian perspective.
