Energy Bone

Ministers will primarily discuss the draft Energy Bone Act, which assumes an extension of frozen electricity prices to the second half of 2024. The bill provides for a maximum price for electricity of PLN 500 per MWh for households and PLN 693 per MWh for self-government units, public utility entities and tiny and medium-sized entrepreneurs. Currently, the maximum energy price for households is PLN 412 net for 1 MWh.

The energy voucher will be paid erstwhile to households in the second half of 2024, with a value of between 300 and 1200 PLN. The participants of the protest declare that their number will increase, due to the fact that farmers will not only come to Katowice from the region but besides from another parts of Poland. They want to express their position in front of incoming guests and convey their expectations to the authorities. Farmers believe that government actions specified as compensation have only divided their environment. They besides argue that the government has not introduced concrete solutions.

On 10 May, the trade unions of NSZZ “Solidarity” and NSZZ of Individual Farmers “Solidarity” announced a protest against Green Deal in Warsaw.
