Last night, an unknown object fell into a cornfield in Osiny pod Łuków (the Lublin province). The detonation caused the windows of respective close houses to break. – After preliminary analysis of the records of radiolocation systems last night, no violations of Polish airspace were recorded either from Ukraine or Belarus The Operations Command has stated.

Osiny is simply a village located about 100 km in a consecutive line from the border with Belarus and Ukraine. Tuesday morning, 23 safety cameras on 1 of the premises recorded the minute of the detonation that occurred in a close cornfield. Police were summoned to the scene, which found burnt elements of plastic and metallic of various sizes, scattered within a radius of respective twelve meters.

This morning the case was commented by the Operations Command of the Types of Armed Forces, informing that no violation of Polish airspace was recorded from Ukraine or Belarus after the preliminary analysis of the records of radiolocation systems.

According to preliminary estimates, the remains could be part of an old engine with a propeller. This information was submitted to the Air Operations Centre – Air Component Command. At the site of the event, appropriate services work, including soldiers of the Military Gendarmerie, who conduct a detailed analysis of the facility. Aviation and Ground Search and Rescue Teams were activated to check the area of the event.

The Operations Command reminded that the cast of the Polish Air Defence strategy is conducting a 24-hour reflection of the Polish airspace, remaining in constant readiness to guarantee its safety.
