NATO faces a serious challenge: weapon procurement systems are besides slow and do not respond to the needs of modern war. The CNN portal, citing experts, underlines that the Alliance's procedures are outdated, which is peculiarly evident from the example of combating mass drone attacks. The incident, in which Polish fighters had to intervene in consequence to Russian drones, showed how costly and inefficient conventional defence methods are in the fight against fresh threats.
