The hot atmosphere and divisions accompanied this year's celebration of the anniversary of the invasion of the Warsaw Pact troops in Prague. Before the 1968 opposition symbol – the Czech radio building – president Petr Pavel had to face both loud ovations and whistles of the disgruntled crowd, after which in a moving speech he straight compared Moscow's actions years ago to today's aggression against Ukraine.
