Due to the economical crisis that can affect Europe, voters of Law and Justice see in Mateusz Morawiecki a better candidate for president of Poland than in Karol Nawrocki. These are the results of an Opinia24 poll commissioned by Radio ZET.
The survey active 1,000 Poles aged 18 and more who took part in telephone and online interviews on 23-29 January 2025. The percentages were rounded to full.
The economical crisis is 1 of the biggest challenges facing Europe. According to the global Monetary Fund, the economical crisis can spread worldwide, causing recession and unemployment.
In this context, voters of Law and Justice see in Mateusz Morawiecki a better candidate for president of Poland. 42% of those declaring to vote for the Law and Justice believe that the erstwhile Prime Minister would have done better as president in the face of a pan-European economical crisis. He places 18% of PiS supporters on Karol Nawrocki, on Mariusz Błaszczak – 3%.
In consequence to the question which politicians would better handle as president in the event of a major economical crisis in Europe, 19% of the respondents pointed to Mateusz Morawiecki. Karol Nawrocki was identified by 9%, by Mariusz Błaszczak – 4%. According to 41% of respondents, no of them could handle it, and according to 11%, everyone could do the same.
The economical crisis is not the only challenge facing Europe. The Russian invasion of Ukraine besides has a crucial impact on the political and economical situation in the region. According to the UN, the Russian invasion of Ukraine caused Allready 8 million refugees who had to leave their homes.
In this context, voters of Law and Justice see equally good candidates for president of Poland in Mateusz Morawiecki and Karol Nawrocki. 20% of PiS supporters are betting on Karol Nawrocki, 22% on Mateusz Morawiecki. Mariusz Błaszczak received 8% of the indications.
Every 5th voter of Law and Justice (22%) believes that each of the politicians proposed in the survey would do the same as president in the face of a mass influx of refugees from Ukraine to Poland. all tenth PiS voter (10%) says no of them could handle it. 17% are indecisive.
The results of the Opinii24 poll show that voters of Law and Justice have different expectations of candidates for president of Poland. In the event of an economical crisis, Mateusz Morawiecki is seen as a better candidate. In the case of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the mass influx of refugees, Mateusz Morawiecki and Karol Nawrocki are seen as equally good candidates.
The poll is 1 of the best ways to realize the opinions and expectations of voters. The results of the Opinia24 poll can aid politicians and political parties make decisions and make policies.
The economical crisis and the Russian invasion of Ukraine are only any of the challenges facing Europe. Voters and politicians must be aware of these challenges and make decisions that will benefit Poland and Europe.
