"Mortui sunt, ut liberi vivamus". They died so that we could live free – 24.05.2026.
Meeting with Tadeusz Marek Płużański, president of the Link Foundation.
Historical publicist Tadeusz Płużański considers Captain Witold Pilecki as 1 of the top heroes and Holy Polish patriotism. He emphasizes his crystal résumé, unprecedented heroism and the fact that the rot master was the direct commander and friend of his father's cell, Tadeusz Płużański senior.
On 24 May, on the eve of the communists' execution of Captain Witold Pilecki, we paid tribute to the murdered soldiers of the post-war underground of independence. The celebration at the City Museum was opened by the president of the G.P. Club Dzierżoniów II Stefan Grefling. Welcome to the assembly of the possessive patriots, he thanked the museum manager for his room. The singing of the national anthem began with a gathering with Tadeusz Płużański, journalist, president of the Link Foundation. The president of the Foundation presented the movie in the series "Bohaterów z Rakowiecka – Witold Pilecki" and presented the character of the captain Witold Pilecki – a volunteer for Auschwitz, a soldier of the Polish Underground State, a associate in the Warsaw Uprising and victims of communist terror. His integrity, work for Homeland and unconditional devotion to fact and freedom were emphasized. He besides referred to the current socio-economic and political situation in the country under coalition regulation on 13 December. He stated that the Tusk government – for the sake of Poland and Poles – should be overthrown as shortly as possible.
The president of the GP club perfectly summed up the event with the words: “A beautiful meeting, a large attendance, a wonderful guest who can talk and talk to listeners. All this thanks to Tadeusz Płużański, the "spiża" character of the captain Witold Pilecki.
After the lecture, participants asked questions, expressed concern for the young generation, looked for solutions to tell young people history, tradition, patriotism, love of their homeland. They assumed that young people would not want to fight for Poland.
It is not so bad said Tadeusz Płużański – In fresh years the interest of young people in patriotism has increased. Young people manifest them, e.g. wearing clothing and gadgets with national colours and symbols of the fight for independency (e.g. the sign of the Fighting Poland).
It besides seems that their interest in Poland and military past is increasing. However, Patriotism can and should have different faces, and it should not only be brought into national-liberating combat," he added.
The gathering ended with a prayer and the laying of flowers before the Monument of the Unbreakable Soldiers.
Ireneusz Wagnerowski, president of the ORP said that the 3rd generation of Ubetia could not stand the cult of the steadfast. Płużański wrote the text “Płużański about Pilecki – and not only.”
Editor Tadeusz Płużański told us beautifully about captain Witold Pilecki. For him it is simply a household story, due to the fact that for his father editor Płużański, Witold Pilecki was a friend and a model, not just a commander.
This communicative is simply a communicative about what we are dealing with and today, it is simply a communicative about a man, about people for whom Poland and Homeland are not empty words, but a task, the highest goal.
Rotmaster Pilecki paid a terrible price for his love for Poland and death is only the culmination of the appalling sufferings he suffered during inhuman interrogations (it was calculated that UB-cia had 49 types of torture).
His death to the then rulers of the giving of the Russian community was little; it was essential to avenge the dead body in specified a way that no 1 would find it. In this (and not only in this) how akin they were to the Germans (I mean the body of “Hubal”, Colonel Dobrzański).
The fight for Poland continues. The editor of Płużański called it "the conflict of the 3rd generation of UBs with the 3rd generation of AK".
This is simply a very accurate reflection with the fact that, just as we feel like a generation of Poles after Witold Pilecki and his like, whose generation are those who govern us present and in whose interest do they do what they do?
Anniversary of Witold Pilecki's death
On May 25, 1948, Witold Pilecki was murdered in a Mokotov prison in Warsaw at 9:30 p.m. with a shot in the back of the head by order of the communist authorities. Officer ZWZ-AK, in 1940, voluntarily surrendered to arrest and export to Auschwitz to get information about the camp; after escaping Auschwitz he fought in the Warsaw Uprising. In 1947, he was arrested by UB; tortured and accused of intelligence activities for the Polish government on emigration, sentenced to death penalty.
Eternal honor and glory to the Heroes!
Long live free and sovereign Poland!
