Journalists delighted with the event at Bernabeu Stadium

The messengers of the world's largest media, traveling with the Pope in Spain, are delighted with the Monday event at Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid. At the club's home facility Real Madrid Leon XIV met with 80,000 faithful from the capital archdiocese.

All the seats were occupied at the stadium, and thousands of people gathered around it.

The Pope, who 3 days earlier confessed to journalists on the plane that he was privately rooting for Real Madrid, was greeted at the stadium with a long ovation. People sang and cheered in his honor, and the atmosphere resembled football enthusiasm after winning the match.

Leon XIV referred to this climate, who among the shouts, said: "I imagine that for a goal player at this stadium is something that leaves a mark in life.

“Today the Church of Madrid has scored a super-goal forever,” he said.

These words caused even more enthusiasm and warmed the atmosphere.
