Duda writes to Tusk. He wants answers on Barbara Violins

The President's office published a letter from Andrzej Duda addressed to Donald Tusk, in which the president demands answers to 7 key questions regarding Barbara Skrzypek's hearing. In his letter, Duda stressed his concerns about individual changes in the prosecutor's office, which, in his opinion, endanger the interests of Poland and the safety of citizens.


The Duda raises doubts about, among others, the choice of prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek to conduct the case of "two towers" and the supervision of the National Prosecutor's Office on this procedure. He besides wonders why the Violin was denied the right to the presence of a proxy and whether akin restrictions were applied to another witnesses.

The president besides asks for details of the proceeding – its length, breaks, possible recording and the individual making the minutes. The last question is whether Fiddler had the chance to read the protocol on its own.

In conclusion, Duda reiterated his appeal to the Prime Minister to "restore legal order in the prosecution".

The Death of Barbara Violin

Barbara Skrzypek died on March 15, a fewer days after the proceeding about “two towers”. According to the D.A., the origin of her death was a heart attack. However, PiS politicians combine her death with questioning and blame the rulers and prosecutors. Jarosław Kaczyński accused the prosecutor of actions that could have led to tragedy.
