Short past of Poland 2050
The leader and founder of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia, announced in late September that he would not search re-election as organization president.
At that time, the National Council of the Group recommended Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz for the post of Deputy Prime Minister in the Government, although the organization inactive did not receive this position. The support for Pełczyńska-Nałęcz was besides expressed by the Polish 2050 parliamentary club. Media reported that the vote in the club was not unanimous: Pełczyńska-Nałęcz won 16 votes and Hennig-Kloska 14. 1 vote was taken by MP Zaneta Cwalina-Sliwowska.
The group saw a dramatic drop in the polls and would now most likely not exceed the electoral threshold. In the 2023 parliamentary election, erstwhile competing in the coalition with PSL, Poland 2050 won over 14 percent of the vote. Currently, according to media reports, support for the organization is somewhat over 1%.
