As the Russian aviation oversight agency Rosavić informed on Telegram, the decision to shut down airports was made for safety reasons. After a fewer hours, the airport resumed operations.
Mer Moscow, Sergei Sobian, reported on social media that the Russian air defence destroyed at least 19 Ukrainian drones that came in "from different directions". He added that fragments of 1 of the drones fell on the main road entering the city, but no casualties were reported.
As the BBC reports, so far Ukraine has not referred to these allegations. On the another hand, Mer Kharkiv reported that Russia carried out drone attacks on both its city and the Kiev region that night. Odeski circuit governor, Oleh Kiper, confirmed that 1 individual died as a consequence of 1 of the Russian attacks.
Drone attack
This is the second night in a row erstwhile Russia accuses Ukraine of carrying out massive drone attacks. On Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported the demolition of 26 Ukrainian drones.
Russian bloggers reported broken windows in the south of Moscow, which was not officially confirmed. In turn governors including Penza and Voronezh reported night drone attacks.
On Monday, Russia accused Ukraine of attempting to invade the Kursk region. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, there was an attack on Sunday on the drone command unit in the Kursk Oblast.
The Russians claim they regained control of the region as early as April, 9 months after the Ukrainian offensive began. However, Kiev argues that its units are inactive active on the Russian side of the border.
