On Tuesday (12.12.2023), before 14 o'clock, access to the border crossing point in Dorohusk was regained. As we informed earlier, yesterday the mayor of Dorohusk Municipality, Wojciech Sawa, decided to end the protest of the carriers. They got off the road, but shortly after, the truck stopped on the road. The drivers claimed it had crashed and it couldn't be activated. As a result, the movement was again stopped.
Authorities made efforts to remove the vehicle from the road, but local companies refused to take up this task. At 10 p.m., the fire department was involved. dense equipment from the specialized road rescue group of the PSP Municipal office in Lublin was directed to the site. Unfortunately, these actions have besides failed.
After reading the situation, firefighters stated that there is no threat to life, health, property or the environment, so there is no reason to intervene. In addition, the vehicle was not active in any traffic event and the fire department does not deal with towing services. Therefore, the troops left.
Today we tried to find out who was liable for the unjustified call from firefighters and their dense equipment to the scene. Unfortunately, no 1 wants to admit it.
– It's very expensive. It is specialized equipment, dense vehicles, which, among others, burn quite a few fuel. But there is 1 more question. It should be borne in head that this equipment is besides the only 1 for the full Lublin province. What if there was a hypothetical accident at the time involving, for example, a bus or a truck. In specified events there are frequently quite a few victims and all minute is very valuable for rescue measures – 1 of the retired firefighters explains anonymously.
After unsuccessful action by firefighters, an effort was made to contact road assistance companies from the full region. Unfortunately, no of these companies agreed to take orders, which was confirmed by its owners.
Yeah, I got a call about that. I'm not gonna go get mine, though. We frequently work on behalf of various services or local governments, but in this case we have not taken action and we do not intend to do so – explained the typical of Sztyrlic from Lublin. – The Polish mayor solved an illegal legal protest. This is democracy in Poland. He's not answering his phone, he's not answering his texts, he's not getting together. This is simply a power typical who despises others. The Ukrainians are happy and for the Polish government the Polish entrepreneur is simply a slut – the carriers say.
Protesters reported that present a request was made for the repeal of the mayor's decision. They besides show authoritative information published in Ukraine. Among them, they pay attention to the words of quotes. ‘Our demands have been met‘.

The protest action is not over. another border crossing points are blocked all the time. The same is actual in Slovakia and the Hungarian carriers who protest at 1 of the crossings with Ukraine joined the action yesterday. They all point out together that they will not give up.
In addition, Rafał Mekler, on his social profile, reported that the carriers had challenged the disgraceful decision of the servant of the Kiev terrorists acting as mayor of the municipality of Dorohusk.
"We have just submitted a motion to repeal the decision of the mayor of Dorohusk to resolve the protest of the carriers. The decision should be made soon.
