
Prime Minister Donald Tusk held a number of telephone calls with European leaders. 1 of them was the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski. "The message is clear: Ukraine, Europe and the US must be full united and engaged in peace talks," stressed the head of the Polish government.
Donald Tusk informed on social media that on Thursday he had talks with the president of Ukraine Zelenski Volodymyr, president of the European Council Antonio Costa, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and CDU leader Friedrich Merzem.
After the talks, the head of the Polish government published an entry in English on X. "The message is clear: Ukraine, Europe and the US must be full united and engaged in peace talks," he stressed.
Zelenski besides informed about the conversation with the Polish Prime Minister. "I interviewed Polish Prime Minister Donald Tuski. We discussed the conditions essential to accomplish lasting and genuine peace in Ukraine and agreed that no negotiations with Putin can start without a common position of Ukraine, Europe and the United States," wrote the president of Ukraine on social networks.
Zelenski assessed that Ukraine should conduct peace negotiations from the position of force. "I stressed that Ukraine should negociate from the position of force, with strong and credible safety guarantees, and NATO membership would be the most economically beneficial to partners. Another crucial warrant is serious investment in the Ukrainian defence industry," he stressed.
He added that he besides warned planet leaders not to "trust Putin's words about his readiness to end the war."
