"With large pain and sadness we inform that Joanna Kołaczkowska is gone... Our Asia," informed the Count's cabaret on Thursday July 17 on Facebook.

Cabaret artist fought cancer. "It came to face her worst and most aggressive opponent. She fought bravely, with dignity, with hope. Me and her. Unfortunately, we have exhausted all available treatments. We believed in a miracle. There was no miracle," we read.

Friends from the cabaret, Dariusz Kamys, Łukasz Pietsch and Tomasz Majer, informed that Joanna Kołaczkowska "went calmly and without pain". They were closest to her.

"With deep sadness, I accepted the news of the death of Joanna Kołaczkowska – an outstanding artist whose talent, sensitivity and unique sense of humor have always been recorded in the hearts of Poles. Her departure is simply a large failure to Polish culture. I express my condolences to the household and to the loved ones," wrote Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Joanna Kołaczkowska was born on June 22, 1966. She was a cabaret and theatre actress. She began her career in 1988 in cabaret Second Suit. From 1989 to 1999 she was a associate of the cabaret Then, where she performed with Dariusz Kamys, among others. At the end of 2002, they founded the Count's cabaret together.
