Donald Tusk on deregulation. "I have optimistic news from Brussels"

On Monday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk will meet with representatives of the social side on deregulation. The subject will be a summary of measures to simplify the rules.

— The deregulation squad has taken a large and ambitious task of preparing a deregulation package that can lead to a very longing deregulation revolution. We agreed with Mr Brzoska that we would be at the same time and in parallel to working together with representatives of the government, we would besides be preparing a proposal for amendments to European law,” said the head of government.

Donald Tusk thanked representatives of the social side and emphasized that deregulation affects all Poles. “I am glad that in the deregulation proposals I see quite a few efforts and thoughtful conclusions that can make life easier for disabled, mediocre families...” added the Prime Minister.

As he said, the social side called for the work calendar to be accelerated. “We will indeed have a common ambition. In the close future, we would present which deregulation would be possible to finalise in May,” said Tusk.

Let us remind you that on February 10, Prime Minister Donald Tusk proposed to the president of InPost Rafał Brzosa to direct a squad to prepare deregulation proposals, Peaches accepted. A week later, the squad published first requests, including 9 amendments to regulations and 14 legislative changes.

Peaches shortly later created the initiative “We Check”, which plans to prepare about 300 proposals within 100 days. Entrepreneurs expressed hope to implement about 30% of them.

Among the proposals prepared so far are: extending mediation in administrative matters; packages of solutions to improve the smoothness of companies, including PIT for a wider scope of companies and shorter deadlines for VAT reimbursement; simplifying reporting to taxation offices; improving procedures in public tenders; clear electricity bills for citizens and companies, faster anticipation of launching existing RES investments and expanding the limits of photovoltaic installations for own use.
