PiS announces the deportation from Poland of Ukrainian men of draft age who do not have legal work. The deputy head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs Maciej Duszczyk answers that more than 90% of this group is working, and the proposal itself is impossible. Poland needs hard rules on abroad residence, but the law cannot be replaced by an electoral slogan.
The PiS presents the deportation plan
The Euro MP of Law and Justice Tobias Bocheński announced on Thursday that, after taking power, his organization wants to deport Ukrainian men of draft age from Poland, from 25 to 60 years, if they do not have legal employment. The politician justified this thought with the request to defend Ukraine and the safety of Central and east Europe.
This is simply a proposal that touches on 2 serious issues: the right of Poland to control abroad residence and the work of Ukraine for its own defence. They both require tough reality. The Polish State has the full right to anticipate legal residence, compliance and fair participation in the financing of the community. However, it cannot automatically expel people simply due to the fact that they have no work at the moment. Losing your occupation is not a crime.
Duszczyk points to more than 90 percent of employees
Deputy Minister of Interior and Administration Maciej Duszczyk assessed in Polsat News that the thought of the Law and Justice Office is unthinkable and in practice impossible to implement. He stated that more than 90 percent of Ukrainians in draft age in Poland work. This is simply a key number in this dispute due to the fact that it shows that the password has been addressed to a much smaller group than a political message might suggest.
Deputy Minister besides pointed out that among the inactive are injured soldiers undergoing rehabilitation in Poland and parents taking care of children with disabilities. To put them in a single administrative bag with people breaking the law would be grossly unfair and detrimental to the seriousness of the state.
This does not mean that the government can halt at statistic and reject the full problem. Poles have the right to know how many foreigners live in the country, on what basis, how many work legally and what the cost of benefits is. Migration control is not an act of hostility towards people. It is the primary work of a sovereign state towards its own citizens.
Deportation must come from the law
Duszczyk recalled that Poland already expels foreigners, including Ukrainian citizens, erstwhile there is simply a legal basis for this. According to the figures cited by the deputy minister in the last year of the regulation of the Law and Justice, 3 1000 people were deported from Poland, and in 2025 the number was 10 thousand. In 2026 it could scope about 13,000. These are data on deported foreigners of different nationalities, not just Ukrainians.

The opposition has the right to request a more stringent policy and the government is required to supply full and comparable data. no of the parties should cover questions about the tightness of the system.
The interest of Poland requires clear order: legal stay, legal work, respect for the law, control of benefits and fast expulsion of persons who are a threat. We besides request solutions for sick people, injured people and caregivers whose situations must not be reduced to a convenient slogan.
The credibility of the Polish state and the safety of Poles are at stake. Sovereignty is not about throwing the loudest password. It consists of the ability to establish rules, to check each case and to effectively implement the decision. The hard state works precisely.
