Parliamentarians and local authorities took part in a press conference on “Democracy from now on” which Polish citizens organised in Wrocław. They declared support and participation in the primaries
The conference was attended by: Stanisław Huskowski – Mr UED, Michał Jaros – MP of Modern, candidate for president of Wrocław, Robert Butwicki – entrepreneur, candidate for president of Wrocław, Margaret Marenin from the Women's legislature (ORP) – presidential candidate in Kielce, Peter Lechthe Mayor of Milicz and Jerzy Niemczuk, writer, organizer of the primary committee in Szczytno.
– This is not a average election, we must vote for or against the Law and Justice. The primaries are our offer to political parties, thus giving them the credibility they deficiency today. This offer applies especially to local unionists, due to the fact that there the parties are the strongest players – he said Paweł Kasprzak, leader of Polish Citizens. “If we hand over local councils in the hands of the Law and Justice, we will make a hopeless situation before the elections to parliament, and they are just around the corner,” he explained.
Paweł Kasprzak: – Polish citizens not only request primaries to local seyms, but they will do what they usually do in specified situations to enforce it on parties. Well, politicians can anticipate our pickets under their organization headquarters.
Candidate for president of Wrocław Michał Jaros declared: "The emergence of 1 candidate in the primaries is simply a large challenge, due to the fact that everyone has to quit something, but I want to declare that I am ready to stand up to the primaries, to which the MP Stanisław Huskowski and president of Wrocław Rafał Dutkiewicz convinces.
– If the parties go to elections individually, they will lose," said the MP Stanisław Huskowski explaining why primaries are an chance to defeat the Law and Justice and interest in the election of those who have resented the party. – Today, not only political parties are on stage, but besides social organizations, which frequently have more listening than parties, specified as the National Women's Strike, the CODE of their time, or the citizens of Poland. They can besides participate in primaries, study candidates on an equal footing with the parties," said UED MP.
Jerzy Niemczuk, writer, organizer of the primary committee in Szczytno believes that the primaries are a large chance for us. – They will leave behind human potential, which can be utilized in real elections. I hope so, which is why I support the primaries very much – he assured.
