Poland is not liberal, it is social democratic!
The ellipse is simply a set of points equally far from the center. erstwhile we draw the ellipse hand by hand, we will never get the perfect form — the line will be uneven, though the perfecting tool is the circus. From the fact that no real drawing meets the definition perfectly, it does not appear that the definition is unnecessary or incorrect. On the contrary, it is through her that we can measure which drawing is simply an imperfect circle, and which is just a square with rounded corners.
The same rule applies to social concepts. No real strategy can accomplish a full perfect vision. This does not mean, however, that the name ceases to mean anything, and all creation that impersonates it automatically becomes its example.
This is evident most clearly from the words “liberalism” and “liberals”. erstwhile individual speaks of alleged liberalism, which has mastered the present-day West (including Poland), but cannot tell what this word means at all, he does not analyse reality—he just repeats empty slogans.
Let us return to our metaphor: today's Western states are not circles drawn with a trembling hand. These are squares. The systems in which we live are indeed extended social democrats, following the socialist principles of redistribution and control. Poland is not a liberal state — it is simply a socialist state with a surplus of the free market.
True liberalism is primarily a free market, property protection and the rule of non-initiation of aggression, not left-wing social engineering or moral promiscuity, with which this word is mistakenly associated today. Today's left has nothing to do with liberalism — it is not liberal, it is libertarian.
