A letter opened to the president of Poland Andrzej Duda.
Dear Mr President,
We address the Lord with large concern as the Polish Sejm undermines the advanced level of protection of human life, which is undoubtedly an crucial asset of Polish constitutionalism.
On 22 February, the fresh majority in the Polish Parliament passed a bill allowing for the provision of non-prescription tablets of early-porn effects to people over 15 years of age. Prime Minister Donald Tusk pointed out that this is specifically about ellaOne, which contains ulipristal acetate – an organic chemical from the steroid hormone group.
As the medical and legal circles have repeatedly stated, the specified fact that the specificity of ulipristal acetate for usage in contraception is legal is contrary to the Constitution of Poland and morally bad. The conflict with the constitutional right to life of an unborn man, whose life, according to common medical knowledge, begins at the time of conception, prejudges the early-porous action of ulipristal.
Ulipristal is promoted as a means of emergency contraception. This name misleads patients, suggesting that its effect is limited to preventing the kid from conception by hold or suppression of ovulation. In fact, this substance besides prevents a surviving embryo from entering the endometrium and consequently disrupts its life and further development. This clearly reveals his early-porn action. This is confirmed by many technological studies, including those submitted by the European Medicines Agency.
In addition, it should be borne in head that products containing ulipristal acetate are at hazard of a number of adverse wellness and life consequences not only for the kid but besides for his mother. Therefore, we demanded that Polish parliamentarians reject a scandalous bill facilitating access to measures that would endanger the lives of conceived children and their mothers.
Since the fresh majority in the Polish Parliament has one more time demonstrated a deficiency of respect not only for human life and health, but besides for the Constitution of the Republic of Poland which is the basis for the regulation of law in the Republic, and expecting a akin behaviour of the majority in the Senate, we ask the president of the Republic of Poland with this appeal that the president of the Republic of Poland, standing on defender of the Constitution, which in Article 38 clearly states that the Republic of Poland provides legal protection of life for all man – besides for a man in a prenatal phase of improvement – take decisive steps by vetoing this unconstitutional, immoral and inhuman law introducing almost unlimited access to early-poron pills, including for minors.
