Deadly harvest. The Caucasus, east Europe and North Africa are turning into minefields

On 7 April, the United Nations Mining Service (UNMAS) reported that Ukraine has become the world's most mined country. About 30 percent of its territory — about 174,000 square kilometers — was planted with 2 million land mines spread by Russia.
