Why is this important?
In mid-January, the National Prosecutor's Office presented a partial audit study on proceedings from the 2016-2023 period of the United Right Government. The study covers 200 out of 600 cases examined, 163 found crucial irregularities. Among them was the loud case of “two towers”. It afraid the construction of 2 duplicate skyscrapers in the centre of Warsaw, planned by the Silver Company, in which Jarosław Kaczyński is on the board.
The preparation of the investment was commissioned by the company, linked to Kaczyński Gerald Birgfellner. Austrian has performed, among others, an architectural plan and implementation strategy. However, the silver 1 stopped the investment and refused to pay him for his work. In the recorded conversation Kaczyński explained to Birgfellner that the reason for the change of plans was the deficiency of approval from the Warsaw authorities and the media interest in the case. At the same time, the PiS president refused to pay due to deficiency of adequate papers and encouraged the businessman to join the court in this case.

MP KO published a decision to open an investigation online. According to the document, “Ewa Wrzosek — Prosecutor of the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Warsaw Mokotów [...] after reading the files of the examination procedure [...] on the basis of Article 303 kpk and Article 305 par. 1 kpk decided to launch an investigation into the bringing Gerald Birgfellner in the period from May 2017 to July 2018, at short intervals, in order to get a pre-emptive advantage to the adverse regulation with a large value of not little than EUR 1 million by a individual acting on behalf of the Silver SP. zoo by misleading the individual with the power to take decisions on behalf of the company and the intention to pay for performance of the contract on behalf of the Silver SP. zoo”.
