"Dangerous" Trump and "scared" Fico. Is this a change of front?

After returning to power, Robert Fico announced that Slovakia would start implementing "a policy for all 4 corners of the world". Since then, he has met with Putin, been to China and Brazil, and has not spared criticism from Brussels. In mid-January, he besides visited Donald Trump, although he was expected to return from Florida "terrified" and bet on rapprochement with the EU. Are we presently observing the volte-ult of the Slovak Prime Minister?
