It's not precisely a title malice. Jan Urban as the coach of the Polish squad will not only face a broken team, which, in the 1920s, mostly fails our hopes, but besides with the burden of the name he carries, which is not necessarily with the ball and does not necessarily associate well. The editor of “Polish Thought” knows something about it, Mateusz Piskorski.
And it's not like I'm signing up for George Urban's enemies choir somehow. However, in public space, it has existed much more frequently in fresh decades than the fresh selectioner. Why does it matter? due to the fact that Jan Urban just got... a 3rd position in the Polish state, after the Prime Minister and the President.
And there were quite a few problems with that choice. This ‘third position’ is not straight selected. The decision belongs to the president of the PZPN, who is besides elected in a dubious way and small to do with democracy, even within structures. Recently, Cezary Kulesza was elected to a second word mainly due to the fact that he tried to... there were no another candidates for his position. So, the mandate is questionable. And 1 of the tasks most accounted for by the president is the choice of a national squad coach. It's been terrible so far. Fernando Santos and Michael Probieta will not be forgotten for long. And Urban immediately enters the position of “other volunteers were not there”.
However, a brief analysis of Jan Urban's achievements may let for delicate optimism. As a football player, he was definitely better than the erstwhile player. Osasuna Pampeluna may not be Bayern or Barcelona, but I am assured that in this case Robert Lewandowski will not be able to look at the selection from above. It's expected to be important, though we all know that not necessarily a good footballer = a good coach. And the another way around. At the first representation, however, the smallest details of the individual liable are analysed. In terms of coaching achievements, there are no miracles, but in order to find a Polish coach with specified ones, we would gotta scope for... Jack Gmoch, which would most likely be beyond his power, although I am an absolute fan of his cognition and expression. Adam Nawałka came from a very akin CV to the staff. In fact, everyone is counting on this effect, for a repeat of the "good, proven at league level Polish coach who has an thought for staff". The buzzer didn't work out, Michniewicz came out, but it smelled bad, with Probier the crash. So it's... 4 times the charm?
But let's go back to the stars of our team, headed by Lewandowski. Is Urban going to be okay with his temper? Will he put him back in the band? That's an crucial question, due to the fact that building a squad around a 37-year-old, how outstanding he would be, is most likely not what we anticipate from Urban if we're hoping for a long-term project. The latest stories with Lukas Podolski in Górnik Zabrze lie a shadow on the experience of the fresh selectioner. I heard the gentlemen didn't like each other, and Podolski was expected to be behind Urban's release a fewer years ago. This, however, does not necessarily prove bad about the coach, due to the fact that you can see on the field that Podolski does not necessarily have the same under the décle, as all fan of the league ball knows.
However, Urban's strength is what I have already written about. He is accused of being “out of deficiency of lak,” but let us reverse this method and ask “who if not him?”. I don't know how much fact it is that Korza and Papszun refused due to the fact that they don't like each another with Kulesza or Kulesza doesn't like them. But would they be better than Urban? Skorża has made any results in Poland, but with rich teams. I don't think the owner of Rakowa is counting the gold he spent. Urban, on the another hand, was twisting the max out of the band, which had been working so far in the shadow of a dissipation in the master's degree and was not overflowing either.
Jan Urban should be wished good luck and his thumbs crossed, even if we know small about his thought of a national squad today. 'Cause it's been truly bad, and I think we've hit the bottom to bounce from. Coach, we're waiting!
