Czech Republic will buy storm bridges on the Tatra Mountains

The bridges collected on Czech truck production are a novelty presented at the fresh Eurosatory 2024, where they could be seen at the stand of KNDS (KNDS Germany) and Tatra Trucks. A framework contract for the acquisition of up to 12 specified storm bridges is planned, of which 4 will be equipped with 26 metres long bays and 14 metres long dog structures (both variants are the carrying capacity of MLC 80). The reason for choosing a German solution is the desire to have a unified fleet of vehicles of this type, which in the Czech army will be placed on the Leopard 2A8 tank chassis and the Tatra Phoenix 10x10 truck. Prague presently uses bridge sets developed in Czechoslovakia, or MT-55A track tracks and AM 50 wheels.
