Information on the examination of black boxes was provided in the communication by the prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba, the spokesperson of the territory Attorney's Office in Warsaw. It was explained that several-day studies of all flight data recorders – alleged black boxes found at the site of the F-16 crash in Radom – were conducted in the United States in 1 of the licensed laboratories. "All recorders were functional and included a evidence of method parameters of tragic flight", the prosecutor said. It was added that the information contained therein would be analysed in the further investigation.

The tragedy occurred on 28 August during trials before the Air Show in Radom. The Warsaw D.A. is conducting an investigation into the involuntary causing of a plane crash. As D.A. Skib explained, 3 threads are being investigated. The first concerns a possible plane failure. The second is connected to the pilot itself – it is checked whether he made a mistake or fainted. The 3rd subject focuses on service and logistics issues.
Col Maciej “Slab” Krakowian served in the 31st Tactical Aviation Base at Poznań Krzesiny. He was the leader of the F-16 Tiger Demo Team. On 28 August the device he piloted crashed during the rehearsal before the air show Radom 2025. The pilot died at the scene.
