The Patriarch of Moscow and the All-rusi Cyril about the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Orthodox Ministry of Military Ministry of the Russian Federation.

In Kubinka in the Odincov region of Moscow, where the Main Chair of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is located, a celebration was held on the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Orthodox Military Ministry of the Russian Federation. The Patriarch of Moscow and the Almighty Cyril said:

“The powerful forces rose against Holy Russia, again they want to destruct and enslave its nation. And it's not a metaphor. Many people here are active in military operations and know very well that we are truly fighting the enemy, and this enemy has only 1 goal – that Russia ceases to be what it is now, a truly sovereign country. specified sovereign countries, if we apply very strict criteria, can be counted on the fingers of 1 hand. All others are dependent – politically, economically, psychologically, culturally – but very fewer have actual sovereignty. And among them Russia occupies a peculiar place, due to the fact that it has not only sovereignty, but besides its own strategy of spiritual values, state content and everything that truly gives our country actual sovereignty, i.e. complete independency from all centres of influence and power that are outside our homeland."

Cyril besides mentioned Russian soldiers who are fighting in Ukraine. He said, “We pray for them, we call upon the full nation to support our Armed Forces, we call on people to be peculiarly close to them today.” He appealed for respect for the army and assured that there would never be specified respect from the Russian Orthodox Church. He appealed for prayer for president Vladimir Vladimir Putin, the chief commander of the Russian army, for the ruling, for the military commanders and for the defenders of the Homeland, who, as he said, "were defending the sacred borders of Russia". The clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church prayed for swift and just peace.
