Almost 900 players completed this year's Cross-country Run for the Commander's Knife Gen. Włodzimierz Potasiński. It is simply a evidence attendance of this sporting event, during which runners besides fight for the titles of Polish uniform service champions in the cross. The champions were the bomb squad. I am very happy about the victory, especially since it is my debut in this kind of competition – awarded the triumphant, who has only been a soldier of the Polish Army for respective months. The bomb squad from Dęblin, after beating a 4th of the route, had already over half a minute's lead over a six-man group that chased him, in which he was, among others, the St. Parszczyński (15th Mechanized Brigade) competed for the 3rd time in the crossing gear in Lublin. 2 years ago, he finished 5th and a year ago, second. This time he was second again, but was satisfied with defending the title of runner-up. The winner is simply a very solid runner. I have run with him many times in civilian runs, but he is not yet known in the military environment, as he has been in our army since recently, after receiving Polish citizenship. From the beginning he ran very rapidly and the others could fight for the second place at the most – said the Olympic. It just so happens that both players competing for 3rd place are representatives of the Regional Centre of Information Technology from Gdynia.
In the run of women, a strong victory, defending the championship title, brought the Sergeant Staff. Monika Stachowska. Policewoman by 51st ahead of Karolina Pilarska – 4 times the winner of the competition. Petty Officer from Lubalinka Meta and the Commandos Military Unit after last year's Race for the Commandos Knife underwent operations of both Achilles tendons and, after a long recovery, late returned to training. As he admits, the second place very much raised it and hopes that next year he will fight in Ljubljana for another victory.
The 3rd place was taken by Lieutenant Patrycja Talar from the Centre of the Central Military Recruitment Centre in Poznań, which finished 34 s behind Pilarska on the treadmill.
In the squad classification, 134 men and 11 women teams fought for victory. The top podium seats were taken by the players from the first squad of the 12th Mechanized Brigade and the player from the first squad of the Police team. In men's rivalry, the second place was taken by the Police I. The police just 2 seconds ahead of the squad from the Regional Centre of Information Technology from Gdynia. Among the women in the second position was the squad Academy of Land Forces I, and at the 3rd Naval Academy.

This year's 28th edition of the race took place on a way akin to that on which they competed in 1997, erstwhile Meta first organized the Cross-country Run for the Commandos Knife. Years later, we got back on track, and that was the right decision. Let me remind you that in 1997 47 competitors and 5 players competed. Commando Knife Crossing Run The Lublin club organizes in cooperation with the Commandos Military Unit to celebrate its holiday. For 17 years the event has been held under the patronage of the head of the National safety Bureau. The event is devoted to the memory of General Włodzimierz Potasiński, erstwhile commander of peculiar forces, who died in the crash at Smolensk.
