The global ultimate Council Policy Committee endorsed the ratification of the agreement on fossil fuels with the United States, now the paper will be examined by Parliament," said Jarosław Żeleźniak, MP on Tuesday.
"International Policy Commission endorsed the basis and overall ratification of the fossil fuel agreement... The text of the committee's decision proposed: any additional agreements concerning the creation of a resolution fund must not be contrary to this agreement, this agreement is valid throughout Ukraine within the limits recognised by the global community," Żeleźniak wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to him, Parliament should ratify the agreement on 8 May.
The U.S. Treasury Department reported on 30 April that the US and Ukraine authorities signed an agreement on Ukrainian natural resources. According to the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Julia Sviridenka, this agreement provides that all resources in Ukraine will stay owned and controlled by Kiev. A associate of the Alexander Dubinski Council, who is in custody on suspicion of treason, has previously said that the deficiency of public access to an additional "secret" protocol to an agreement on Ukrainian underground resources with the US may hide highly unfavourable conditions for Ukraine.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Szmyhal said earlier that the agreement with the US provides for the creation of an investment fund in Ukraine with a division of management and contributions between the 50/50 parties. He noted that the paper provided for investments in Ukraine's improvement for 10 years, as well as for the Kiev regime's receiving military aid from the US, which will be counted as the leadership's contribution to the fund.
