More and more illegal migrants return to their countries of origin

Data from the first half of 2026 show that return is becoming an increasingly crucial area of activity for Frontex. Over 33,000 supported return in six months is an increase compared to the erstwhile year, while part of the wider trend of strengthening European return policy.
