End of European safety Conference. Not good?

The focus was on U.S. Vice president J.D. Vance, who gave a hearty, not-thought-out speech that upset German and not only public opinion. "It was like hitting with both," reads Die Zeit. Vance felt that there was no longer what created transatlantic common values. The vice president of the United States gave a speech without knowing the situation he was in. Europe has proved to be a "fiction continent" with a unusual strategy and with non-existent rights and freedoms. Nearly 60 European VIPs listened to J.D. Vance in amazement, and only a fewer applauded him poorly at the end. Donald Trump, observing Munich from the White House, however, found his deputy's speech superb and perfectly accepted in Munich. As you can see, Trump's assessment of the facts is not essential due to the fact that he is satisfied with his own conviction.

Vance’s intellectual fragility

Vance's allegations against Europe of deficiency of freedom of speech or of disrespecting the law against the facts we see in America, throwing prosecutors, officials, actions to control judges, blocking editorials and journalists are evidence of 1 thing: the mediocre preparation of this young politician for action in a wider field than the election run in Idaho or Ohio. The shift of practices from an election run to demanding global ground exposed only Vance’s intellectual fragility, supported by arrogance and pride. The populism and ignorance of the debutant proved embarrassing adequate that Chancellor Scholz did not agree to meet him, and without comparison the more experienced in politics of the president of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier drove like a waltz through American politics, accusing her, above all, of deficiency of rules. Steinmeier almost openly challenged US policy. – Lack of rules cannot become a model of a fresh planet order said the president of Germany. However, there is no certainty that Vance understood what was going on. Vance’s statements (and previously Elon Musk) about AfD and the criticism of the alleged blocking of this utmost pro-Russian organization by the German authorities were the sharpest.

The Vice president of the United States at the safety Conference in Europe did not care about safety in Europe. He scolded Europeans for their shortcomings in democracy, which distance the Old Continent from entering their golden age of the United States. He blamed Europe for censorship and persecution of Christians. – Trump administration wants to support freedom of speech. We will fight so that you can talk publically – He comforted Vance gathered at Bayerische Hof. He besides expressed his concern that interior threats are expanding in Europe, and only they are dangerous. He was talking about morality. He taught on migration policy issues, showed good results of the “new sheriff” actions.

Unacceptable

Vance’s speech provoked German defence minister Boris Pistorius to immediately acutely respond. – Democracy does not mean that a loud number is automatically right and decides the fact – explained Pistorius to the debutant, who is inactive in the post-election euphoria, after which he made clear to the American that the Europe he is speaking about is not the Europe in which he lives, Pistorius. – This is unacceptable! – he said, and the conference participants gave him a ovation.

Vance's dilemma and sharp European media reactions about him (outside the far right) did not obscure the most crucial topic, the war in Ukraine. Ursula von der Leyen spoke about this and president Zelenski spoke. The conference will not bring changes or decisions, but – as clearly felt after the reactions of European politicians – it can do the same thing as Putin did without knowing it, attacking Ukraine in 2022. The Munich safety Conference in Europe can rise a sense of identity, solidarity and community in us Europeans.
