There is more and more talk about the threat in Poland, and the question of whether there will be a war is most likely the most common question in the public debate. Our friends, frequently family, talk about it. So I asked myself, and in consequence from the most crucial Polish commanders I heard: the war is already here.
I will immediately say that these officers were not about conventional clashes, known even from the Ukrainian front, but about a fight that is not visible at first glance. For the fight has long been about our hearts and minds. Sounds poetic and pathetic? Not at all!
Example one. Russia has long told us stories about NATO's promise not to grow to the east in the 1990s, and then the Alliance decision-makers broke these promises. And now this cornered Russia has to defend itself from the evil West and expansive NATO. Of course, that cremation is bullshit. Moscow has been persistently repeating these thesis for many years, while the broad awareness of the fact that the talks between Russia and the Alliance or articles do not support the alleged findings on NATO's expansion to the east are poorly understood.
Example two. Building an atmosphere of hostility towards Ukrainian citizens, which uses historical events, fears and a sense of injustice (unless everyone has heard alarming and false reports, for example, that Ukrainian citizens have precedence over Poles for medical care!). Unfortunately: there is an excess of examples here and they can be multiplied indefinitely. We forget here what is most crucial for us Poles about Ukraine. due to the fact that the Polish reason for the state, which practically all dominant political formations agree on, is to support the Ukraine fighting Russia. Support is essential on all level: political, military, but besides human – in order that the army of Orcs – as commonly called Russian soldiers – never scope Poland. Meanwhile, the Russian services are taking advantage of all chance to sow resentment between Poles and Ukrainians and reverse Polish aid to Ukraine and Ukrainians – it is Russia that will benefit from this.
So he reaches for all provocation and uses provokers to divide both nations. It was no different in September, erstwhile drones began to enter Polish airspace. The military did everything to repel the attack: it activated the air defenses and picked up fighters. Only that the aggression aimed at Poland besides had an intangible dimension. The fight besides took place in the information space, and it is better to say disinformation. The net flooded a wave of false entries and comments that were expected to prove that this was not Russia's attack, but Ukrainian provocation, which aims to drag Poland and NATO into war with Russia. And watching what was happening in the infosphere, it's fair to admit that we were fooled again by this creamy propaganda and even more divided.
The examples I have cited are evidence of effective Russian manipulation which distorts our consciousness as citizens, sows doubts in our minds, leads to worldview divisions and polarises opinions. This besides proves that as a society we are in the mediate of a cognitive war – a cognitive war, which is described in the November issue of "Polish Armed Forces". I would urge the article “Do not let yourself be hacked” where we describe the issue of cognitive warfare and give examples of crematory actions. You will besides read about the manipulations and the Kremel game in the material "Country under the influence". Disinformation, cognitive war, manipulations and Russian aggression in an interview with “PZ” are besides referred to by Gen. Broni Maciej Klish, the operational commander of the RSZ.
After the November issue of the monthly issue of the “Army Poland” it is besides worth to scope for many another reasons. The first 1 is the “The darker the better”. We study to you the training of transport aviators from low altitude flights utilizing night vision. The second is simply a material about the Formoza unit, which celebrates the Jubilee in November. The 3rd is an interview with Piotr Szymanski, a safety specialist, about the problems of the Russian Army in the Arctic. The 4th is simply a moving text about the relay of generations and the cultivation of traditions, that is, “We, 1 army”. Five, six, and... you'll find another reason without difficulty. We give you a release filled with valuable content.
Good reading!
